To delete a deceased person’s Flickr account and their blogs, the surviving relatives must submit a request to Yahoo, the organisation that owns Flickr. Because of privacy rules, Yahoo does not give surviving relatives access to the account. However, it will make sure that the account and all the blogs are deleted.
The surviving relatives must submit the following information to Yahoo to have the account deleted;
• A letter with a request for the account to be removed.
• The username of the deceased user´s account.
• Proof showing that the requestor is authorised to represent and settle the deceased person’s affairs.
• A death certificate of the deceased user.
